Cathy Ringler is a storyteller, cowgirl and retired teacher. She lives at the foot of the beautiful Beartooth Mountains and rides in them as often as her busy schedule will allow.

Growing up, Cathy had two passions: horses and reading. She spent long summer days either adventuring on her pony or up in the tree house with an apple and stacks of horse books to read and reread.

Winner of the Western Horizon Award, two time winner of the Gib Mather's Journalistic Award and winner of the 2016 YA Wyoming Writer's Award, Cathy enjoys working with young people. A highlight of her summer is volunteering at a horse camp for teens.
