Patricia Ann Bowen started her career as a copywriter and has been writing nonfiction ever since, everything from catalog copy, speeches, articles in newspapers and magazines, grants, contracts, an e book, you name it. She’s also been a business owner, coach, marketing manager, and international relations guru.

Now she writes novels, novellas and short stories, mostly about women with complicated lives. She pens gardening articles for her local newspaper, and grants to support her local library. Her recent writing has appeared in the Table for Two anthology, The Sun magazine, and her book The Cure, a time travel medical tale, is her first try at speculative fiction. Thanks for your question, Cheryl.
The reviews I've had so far mirror the feedback I got from my beta readers, minus the revisions I made from their comments, of course. I write for the pleasure of writing, and to share my ideas with others, and it's always interesting to hear what different people hone in on for comments... some on plot, some on character, some on how they identified with one or the other. So far the reviews have been pretty consistently good, no real surprises. What have I learned? To get solid input from other writers in my community before I put my story out to a broader audience.(less)

Writing was the perfect job for me, because I’d stuttered so badly since childhood that most verbal communications got my undies in a bunch. I sprinted through catalog descriptions, magazine advertising, newsletters, replies to customer letters, and words that were printed on the company’s product packaging, with little fear of
