An amazing work that is a tour de force of the Indian continent and the psyche of it's complicated multitudes. V.S. Naipaul along with Ryszard Kapuscinski (author of The Shadow of the Sun) are my favorite authors.

Although dated, this is an excellent book that places the reader in the heart and soul of Africa. After reading, you can feel and understand the rational and irrational that exudes from this amazing continent.
