M C Taylor is a married mum with children and two goofy black labradors. Prior to parenthood, she loved to travel the world and even spent time living in Hong Kong and Sydney, encountering many interesting people and experiences along the way. After many years working in a variety of jobs including working at a top London spa, a health and fitness chain and a village preschool, she finally decided it was time to concentrate on turning her passion for writing into her career. The publishing of her first novel, Chaperones: Grace's Story truly is the fulfilment of a lifelong dream.

I don't beat myself up about it, that's life.…moreI'll be honest, there are days when I find lots of reasons not to sit my bottom down and actually write. I don't beat myself up about it, that's life. Sometimes I'll do my other admin on those days, like my goodreads profile, updating my facebook and twitter pages. The best thing though for writers block, I find is to grab a cup of tea, re-read and edit some of my recent work and start writing. It's amazing how suddenly things will come to mind and before I know it, I'm writing again and the flow has returned!(less)

It's very l…moreI love the fact that I can return to my child-like imagination where absolutely anything goes and there are no constraints or limitations. It's very liberating. Having worked in the corporate work for many years, its so refreshing to allow my mind to run completely free. I also love the way that over time my imagination builds up the characters and story-line and invariably the plot and ending often change once I've begun writing a new story. Like I say anything goes and the creative process is so fulfilling and gives a real sense of achievement.(less)
