Rant [1091] "Sad Girl in Snow Blanket V2"

Pre-order is up for the new Sad Girl in Snow blanket! Pre-orders will be taken till November 20th. I'm starting pre-orders early so that there is a chance I can get these shipped out in time for Christmas (given a 4-5 week production schedule, I can't guarantee that unfortunately)
Also, please note that the photo on the order page is not a photo of the actual blanket, I will have a sample blanket probably by the end of next week. Also note,...

Rant [1090] "Goodbye old buddy"

My cat Moofie, who was a regular visitor to my twitch drawing feed and a regular companion of mine since 2001 passed away Wednesday. I started this drawing on Monday after i took Moofie to the vet hospital. I launched into it as a fund raiser to help with the cost of his care, and when i finished the pencil drawing the word from the vet was he was doing ok. Unfortunately, by the end of the day Wednesday we were with him when he passed away. When fac...

Rant [1089] "The Fire Fox has Arrived!"

Volume 3 of the MegaTokyo: Endgames series is available for sale!
Yeah, the launch of the third book has been a bit wonky this time around. Which is kinda irritating considering how smooth Dire Water launched. But, I suppose if the release date has to be borked, it's far better for it to be early than it is to be late.
In the first two books, I try some different story-telling methods (Tower of Kartage_was meant to read a bit like a slice-of-li...

Rant [1088] "Endgames:Persistence"

As most of you are aware, it has been a few months since the conclusion of Megatokyo Chapter 11. I have been using this break between chapters to work on a number of things, including the Megatokyo Visual Novel, the first few chapters of Warmth (yes, after all these years, Warmth is finally actually happening :) various artwork projects and development and writing for chapter 12. Last but not least was work on the traditional between-chapters omake...

Rant [1087] "Dire Water is Here!"

Life as a fox-girl is never easy, especially in the land of Avalon after the revolution. Scorned by deposed nobles who consider chimeras like her bastards, and by the new republic forces who regard those same children as remnants of the old abusive nobility, it’s a day to day struggle just to be able to wake up the next morning.
So when fate puts young Sunay out on the open seas beyond the reach of political forces, it opens up an entirely...

Rant [1085] "Sketchbook Crawl"

It's somewhat of an open secret that Fred has taken an opportunity to begin work in earnest on his old pre-MegaTokyo story, Warmth. Originally set in Sendai, Japan, Warmth involved the American Tom (nicknamed Tomu, for Japanese phonetics) and main girl Saeko. In the early days of MT, Fred often referred to it as "practice for Warmth", to hone his art and comic skills so he could do his more favored story justice. Ultimately MegaTokyo borrowed a sev...

Rant [1084] "Tower of Kartage - Second Edition"

It's not often that you get a second chance to make a first impression.
Which is fortunate, because my first impression probably wasn't all that impressive.
The Tower of Kartage was something of a rush job, on my part... desperate to get something out there. As a result, it wasn't the most technically sound piece I have ever done, and was lacking many of the little things I wanted to do that I didn't do in my hurry. But now, at least starting wit...

Rant [1083] "Art Sale!"

I've put up a bunch of original Megatokyo artwork for sale in the MegaGear store - some of them have sold, but there is still a good selection left to consider. Here are some thumbnails of the drawings still available:

Note that most of these are sets of drawings - when you purchase a drawing, i usually try to include rough sketches and other related material. Drawings that were used in actual Megatokyo comics will come with a signed printout th...

Rant [1082] "2015 MT Swimsuit calendar!"

The Megatokyo 2015 't3h b34ch' Swimsuit calendar IS NOW AVAILABLE for pre-order in the MegaGear store! 12 months, full color, it's at the printers and will be shipping the first week of November. Since this is a calendar and I can't really sell off back stock after January, I didn't order a lot of them, so be sure to order one if you want one because quantities are limited. Also of note, Fine Art Prints of all the artwork in the calendar are also a...
