Cory Q Tan is a Children’s Book Author who illustrates his own books, or better described as a Children’s Book Illustrator who writes his own stories, as he considers himself first an artist then a writer.
He graduated from The Slade School of Fine Art (London) in 1997, spending most of his time on printmaking (some etching but mainly lithography) in the picturesque printmaking department that seemed stuck in time. His friends always told him that his works ‘seemed to tell a story’, and to produce a series of works that could string together as a story had always been his dream. For him, nothing is more beautiful and satisfying than to marry Art and Story-telling, and Children’s Picture Books presented just the right medium for him.
