Blade loves science so much that he worked a few decades as a high-tech hardware and software exec. All the while, he'd voraciously ingest anything on biotech and the enigma of quantum physics. He believes that in the 2020's, we will finally understand that DNA is just another code base.

During the coming decade, human competitiveness, vanity and insecurity will drive massive demand for enhancements that biotech will deliver - whether that's glowing skin or mammalian augmentations from human genome editing, expanded consciousness via human-machine integration and AI, aging cessation and reversal, or expanded physical capabilities.

Accept that the great stuff you write will likely never be discovered, and hope that one day your family or friends will pick up your book and go, "hey, that was actually pretty good."
