Safe Harbor Fundraising Event a Success

The Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center fundraising event was a big success! Here are two pictures of Olivia, the winning bidder for the books by Wisconsin authors, including The Light of Our Yesterdays. When I asked Olivia how long it would take her to read all of these books, she said if she liked them about 2 days each! Great to see such a voracious reader win the bid.

Lori Tomaselli, the author of “The Naked Block,” joined Olivia and me in one of the pictures.

The third pic is of the Green Bay Packer helmet (signed by RB Jamal Williams) that I took home after a tough bidding session. Hey, it was an event for Wisconsin authors, folks. You didn’t think there would be a Bears helmet for auction, did you?

Welcome!

Welcome to Ken’s Cogitatio!  Here, I plan to post messages about my writing and my book(s).  OK, there is only one book right now, but give me some more time and you never know….  I might include an excerpt or two now and then, so keep looking.  If you are interested in some excerpts, check out Character Cogitatio, where I included a few thoughts and quotes from some of the characters from The Light of Our Yesterdays.

Unnamed Terrorist – Do You Want to Ask?

“Let us say I have developed certain assets around the world. A few are highly placed; a few well placed. All are loyal. And if they were not, they could say little, because they know even less. It makes them less dangerous to me and to themselves. Unnecessary risks must sometimes be eliminated in the glorious fight for Allah. It is better to avoid becoming an unnecessary risk, do you not agree?”

Unnamed Terrorist – Limits to Terrorism?

Do I overstep any limits? What are those limits? They let those who killed my brethren go on to kill other innocents. They remain disbelievers. They continue to persecute my people. What more do I need? These people are not innocents. He is not innocent. I am the tip of Allah’s spear. And with my help, Pardus will change the world.
