It helps to redirect my creativity into various different worlds so that I feel like I accomplished something that day. I guess that's a way to bypass writer's block: start a new story every time you're having difficulties moving on in another.

Currently, I am working on the sequel to The Pretenders, as well as an anthology of some short stories and novellas I've written/am writing. So like I said, a lot of different worlds to bounce between. It keeps me sane between everything else on my agenda (work, school, family).(less)

I don't get emotional over books often, but when it does happen, I always wonder/marvel at how words on paper can evoke such an emotional response in me. In short, I wanted to write something that would create a reaction in my readers, though not necessarily ten minutes worth of tears.(less)

It is sad that women have to learn how to advocate for themselves during such a vulnerable moment in their lives—if there was an equivalent moment in a man’s life, I doubt hospital staff would question his right to make his own medical choices.

“If a man has to ask for your trust, it's a sure sign that you should not give it. Trust should be earned inherently, without any verbal demands. Trust is knowing a man's character, knowing truth, and relying on that character and truth even when the odds seem against you.”
