"Machines," the follow up to "Elements," progresses nicely. The book has some inherent challenges, but now that I have a rich new landscape and new characters to play with, each chapter becomes a gem of excitement. The themes in "Machines" differ significantly and in ways very important to the development of Mink. The creative push to settle all the pieces in place to complete the picture stands out as my favorite part of the process. If I weren't also chiefly responsible for the marketing of the books, editing would easily be my least favorite part of the process. Any of you looking forward to the sequel?
