X-Must #21: Monkey Justice by Patti Abbott
"Patricia Abbott proves that there are many shades of noir as she expertly layers her stories with melancholy, loss and the frailness of the human psyche" – Dave Zeltserman, author of Pariah"Patti Abbott is a master when it comes to short stories." -- Anne Frasier, author of Pale Immortal and The Orchard (as Theresa Weir)
"In this collection of short contemporary noir fiction, Patti Abbott distinguishes herself as an extraordinary storyteller of the dark recesses of the human heart. Abbott's characters hit hard, fight dirty, and seek a brand of hardscrabble justice that will leave you both wincing and wishing for more." – Sophie Littlefield, author of a Bad Day for Sorry
Monkey Justice is available on Amazon.

Miles To Little Ridge
I think the secret is out of the bag that some top writers like Wayne D. Dundee, Chuck Tyrell, Heath Lowrance, and Nik Morton are writing Cash Laramie and Gideon Miles stories. I couldn't be more thrilled with the excellent work I've read from these authors... it's as if they've crept into my mind and delivered stories that one would expect from these characters that I've become quite fond of. First up will be a Gideon Miles novella by Heath Lowrance called MILES TO LITTLE RIDGE, which is in the final proofing stage as we speak. If you're interested in reviewing the book, just leave a comment here with your email address or drop me an email at paladin-1@hotmail.com with MILES in the subject line.

X-Must #22: The Chaos We Know by Keith Rawson
"Keith Rawson's last name gives you a hint. It's going to be raw, and it's going to get to you. Like stepping on a shard of glass, but in a good way. Rawson's stories always bowl me over with aggressive style and deep psychological fright" --Anthony Neil Smith, author of Yellow Medicine and Choke On Your Lies
"Reading Keith Rawson's short stories is like strolling through a minefield: you know you're in for trouble, and there's no going back. Powerful, twisted, fierce and profane, this is take-no-prisoners fiction." -Hilary Davidson, author of the Damage Done
THE CHAOS WE KNOW by Keith Rawson is available here.

X-Must #23: Bitter Steel by Charles Allen Gramlich
The stories of heroes are born, but they never die. They become legends. They become mythic. "Bitter Steel" is a collection of new myths and new fantasy adventures in the style of Robert E. Howard's classic fictional heroes, Kull, Conan, and Kane.
When I read part of STEEL's "Sundered Man" to my four-day-old daughter.
