I was born in the Midwest USA and attended the schools of Daydreaming, Foosball and Mixology.

These divergent paths eventually evolved into a B.S. in Computer Science, an MBA and a successful IT career.

Although my guitar slide is rusty, the piano keys are warm, and despite the lure of many untraveled paths, my feet are generally moving forward.

I'm an avid student of the unknown and am happy I conceived the Dark Wave before the Science Channel reveals proof it is real.

I wondered about it for another ten minutes then began writing notes. I almost immediately had the beginning and end, it just took another three years before the whole story came into focus.(less)

Just finished reading this for the first time. Loved the book, as I do most of King's novels, but it wasn't terrifying in any real sense. I did enjoy the expository writing at the end, which deftly points out that this phenomenon is much older than t ...more

Enjoyable read but not terribly scary.

I was pointed to this book as an example of good 'atmospheric horror' (low gore/body count) and I'd have to say that I agree with the label. To start, the writing was excellent and I was just as interested in the

Although I've known this story as long as I can remember, I'd never read the book. It's very short and not what I expected in terms of horror, but it was still a great read.

I'm giving it a three on horror, because it wasn't overly scary compared to w
