Onyinye Ough is a Nigerian international development practitioner specialising in anti-corruption and service delivery. Onyinye recognized that there was a problem in Nigeria with many corrupt practices having become culturally acceptable and sought to put together a series of books for children to help educate them on the impact of corruption. In 2018 she established the Nigerian based Non-Government Organisation 'Step Up for Social Development and Empowerment' (Step Up Nigeria) with the aim to help strengthen accountability on government delivery and tackle some of the corruption challenges.

Emeka's Money by Onyinye Ough
“We need to change how we do things. We should choose the best people for jobs not just our friends. We should not ask people to pay us bribes to build roads. We should not ask people for extra money to get their land certificates. They should only pay the right amount. All if these actions are types of corruption.”
