Hello awesome nerds, happy Thursday and welcome to a very special announcement!
A couple of days ago, Beacon Book Box, the YA monthly-subscription bookish company, to which I am a rep, announced an amazing special edition box they’re going to send later in 2020.
I’m talking about non other than the Blood & Honey Special Edition Box, that will be created in collaboration with Shelby Mahurin, the author of the Serpent & Dove series.

February Wrap Up
Hello awesome nerds and happy Monday everyone!
It’s a national holiday here in Greece, and that equals more spare time to relax and read, but also be able to plan everything that needs to be done this week without pressure.
The first month of spring has officially started and with it my optimism seems to be back on track, despite everything that’s been happening in our country over the past few days. My thoughts and prayers are with the Greek soldiers and I do hope that everything will turn out fine in the end.
But, since this isn’t the reason why I’m writing today, I’m gonna end this here and focus on last month’s wrap up, which is a smaller one, compared to the one of January. My reading slump seems to be on and off every other day, which doesn’t actually allow me to read the amount of books I used to. I do hope though that this will change, soon, especially since I’m waiting for some EPIC books to arrive in the next couple of days.

With that being said, let’s get to the two books I read in the month of February.
1. DARK AND DEEPEST RED, BY ANNA-MARIE McLEMORE

Like I said in my review about this book, I didn’t feel neither the passion, nor the betrayal in this modern-ish retelling of Andersen’s fairytale, The Red Shoes. And although the blurb seemed very intriguing, if I wasn’t listening to the audiobook, I might have DNFed this particular novel.
I’m gonna stick to my opinion that, when you write a novel of multiple POVs, you need to give some time to the readers to get to know the different characters. In this book, the chapters were five minutes long, or at least the majority of them were, and the moment I started connecting with one of the three main characters, the POV changed again.
I don’t think I’m gonna read another McLemore book, at least not any time soon because, although I love her writing style, the stories, the characters and the whole vibe I get from the general ideas of her books leave me… empty for some reason.
2. TEARS OF FROST (HEART OF THORNS, #2), BY BREE BARTON

Thankfully this wasn’t the case with my beloved friend Bree Barton’s book, Tears of Frost, which is the second book in the Heart of Thorns series.
I had received an ARC of this beauty from Bree herself back in 2019 and I really enjoyed it the first time I read it. This time though, I fell completely in love with the novel, the characters and this cliffhanging ending which was absolutely EVERYTHING!
All I can say, without actually spoiling anything, is that, in the sequel of Mia’s adventures you’ll realise that the villains truly believe that they’re the heroes of the story.
