Flight of the Quail ~ Reacting to Some Fairly Recent Writing of Mine

Hey Readers!

So today’s post is going to be… interesting XD. I found a short story I wrote about a year and a half ago for a Bible project, and I remember loving that story. I haven’t reread it yet–I’m going to react to it as I write this. So this is going to be… interesting. I got the idea for this post from Ash @ Starlight Strands, but I’m tweaking it a little because, well, this writing is more recent than a lot of the stuff I have but I really wanted to reread it. So, without further ado,...

Now, as for today’s post… a few weeks ago I watched the Stargirl movie on Disney+, which is based on Jerry Spinelli’s brilliant novel. And let me tell you… it. was. BRILLIANT! Now, it’s been a while sin...

Impulse Buys: A Flash Fic by Me

So… hi readers.

I was very unprepared today XD.

First I forgot it was Monday, and then I was like ope I’m supposed to post something today

And then I remembered that I hadn’t prepared for the post I had scheduled for today, so I decided to post a list of children’s book recommendations by age, but then I realized that I had been reading full on chapter books at age seven, and normal seven year olds don’t read chapter books, and I had to rethink the entire post.

So here is my Plan C...

I Fangirl About Hamilton Like I’m Running Out of Time

Why hello there!

I’m Jaedyn.

Maybe you know me, maybe you don’t…

But I’m a theatre kid. Like, a huge one. Like, I want to be on Broadway when I grow up.

I’m also a huge history nerd. I specifically love the American Revolution.

When I was in elementary school, I’d pretend to be George Washington on the playground. My history teacher would ask me to not answer questions because I knew the answers to almost everything. In middle school, I won a regional competition with a website I ...

Now, without further ado… here’s my latest book review!

July Recap: Two Weeks of Peace and Then Many Things Happened At Once

Okay.

Bear with me here.

I hear you asking, “Jaedyn, why were you gone for two weeks? Are you abandoning the blog? What is happening???”

Well, fear not: I intend on staying with this blog for as long as I am able. I did not intend to leave for two weeks. Let me explain….

Summary

So, the first two weeks of July were pretty great. Peaceful, even. So peaceful that I barely remember any of what happened except that I went to cheer and didn’t do anything for the 4th of July.

Th...
