Hey Readers!

I feel like I’m saying this every time now but it really has been a hit minute. I hope all of you have been doing well and are having a good summer! I finally dove in to bookstagram after years of beating around the bush and it’s been really fun to explore that community! If you’d like to connect over there I’m @jlongbooks 😀 Now, this book has been on my TBR forever but I finally got around to picking it up, and I am so glad I did! Let’s dive right in to the review…

The Children’s Books Masterpost: Pt. 2 (Ages 9-12)

Hey Readers!

Welcome to Part 2 of The Children’s Books Masterpost! While Part 1 may have covered definitive “children’s books”, this is more certified as middle grade literature. Without further ado, let’s get reading!

Chapter Two: It’s a Hobby Now… Ages 9-11

Kids in this age range who read have definitely started to con...

The Children’s Books Masterpost: Pt. 1 (Ages 0-8)

Hey Readers!

I’m finally doing another book rec post!

So maybe you, like me, used to be a child, and you read a whole ton of books. You probably don’t remember most of them, but some of them really stuck with you, and you hold them very close to your heart. Maybe you want some nostalgic books to read, reread, or share with a child you know.

Or maybe you, unlike me, have a child between the ages of 0 and 12. Maybe your child loves to read, or maybe they don’t. Either way, you might wan...

The Pros and Cons of Writing Fanfiction

Hey Readers!

It has been a hot minute since I’ve posted. How are all of you doing?

I’ve finished up the school year, and I’m definitely still busy, but I’m coming back to writing and posting after taking a bit of a break. I added a ton to my WIP novel (Aurora) in April, and I reached over 31 thousand words! I also wrote a 14 page research paper about artificial intelligence, so I had just about used up all of my writing juice for a while.

But now, I’m easing my way back into thing...

My Dream Home Library

Hey Readers!

I know this can’t be just me. Have you ever imagined, in thinking about your dream home, what it would be like to have your very own library? I mean, if you’re a book nerd and have watched Beauty and the Beast, I’m sure you were more in awe of Belle’s library than anything else in that movie. Beast definitely wins in the romance department for that one. While I love the sheer volume and grandeur of that library, I think for my personal library I’d want something that would fi...
