Texas is Wack
Texas is falling apart and, honestly, this is the literal icing atop the stress-cake that is my life.

As of right now, I get power every two hours for only thirty minutes. We have about seven-ten feet of snow and negative temperatures. Can't heat the house. We do have the fireplace going and I guess that's our saving grace.

We also have to boil our water for everything now. I know this will end in just a couple days, because Texas weather is the ultimate slap to any southerner's face, it just real...

Emerald Blaze Review
Emerald Blaze (Hidden Legacy #5)By Ilona AndrewsOriginally Published August 25th, 2020Single POV, First Person
This is the fifth in a series, to read the review of the novella before it click here!
Emerald Blaze was one of those books that I had been waiting and agonizing over for months, so much so that when I accidentally received it days before its actual release, I canceled everything and read it immediately. After I devoured it, it took me a long time to come to terms with how I felt. An...

Eat, Pray, Die Review
Eat, Pray, Die (Eat, Pray, Die Humorous Mystery #1)By Chelsea FieldOriginally Published July 5th, 2016Singular POV, First Person

My initial assumptions were correct. This book is unique and rather adorable. With a kind...

Three stars, Caitlyn? After you have done nothing but rave about this series? After giving all the other books five stars?
The short answer, yes. I stand by...

January Releases Book Recommendations
January is starting off strong and promises a future year of great releases! It's mostly sequels I'm looking forward to this month, a few of which I've waited years to return to their worlds.
NEW RELEASES

From Ilona Andrews, an all-new novel set in the Kate Daniels World and featuring Julie Lennart-Olsen, Kate and Curran's ward.
Atlanta was always a dangerous city. Now, as waves of magic and technology compete for supremacy, it’s a place caught in a slow apocalypse, where monsters spawn among th...
December Round-Up
Another stressful month; I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going with this move. Unfortunately, COVID is making it hard to actually move to the city I had planned to go to, so I'm in limbo and all my things are in storage. After a bad reading month in November, I was beyond glad to find a new series to binge ...
