Consent Review

Consent (The Loan Shark Duet #2)By Charmaine PaulsOriginally Published November 14th, 2017Dual POV, First Person

,THIS IS BOOK TWO IN A DUOLOGY. CLICK HERE FOR BOOK ONE'S REVIEW!

This book was the only thing I had going for me during the snowstorm in Texas that had me with no power for hours at a time. Mafia Romance is one of my favorite genres and I did enjoy the dubiousness of book one, so I was glad I'd downloaded Consent before all the crazy electricity stuff started.

In Dubious, book o...

Crystal Whisperer Review

Crystal Whisperer (Spotless #3)By Camilla MonkOriginally Published November 30th, 2016Singular POV, First Person

,THIS IS BOOK THREE IN A SERIES, TO SEE MY REVIEW OF BOOK TWO CLICK HERE!

Every book in this series gets better and better! Crystal Whisperer was a rush of adrenaline with high octane pursuits, steamy tension, murder, and mayhem. Camilla Monk takes Island and March on a crazy ride that was thrilling from start to finish.

There's no rest for the wicked, or, in this case, our love...

Secret Beast Review

Secret Beast (Beauty and the Beast #1)By Amelia WildeOriginally Published February 23rd, 2021Dual POV, First Person

It's funny, because, as a child, I wasn't a fan of Beauty and the Beast. I think I knew there was something off about the story, something taboo even at a young age. But now, as an adult, I am all about it--especially retellings.

I've read a few things by Amelia Wilde and I will admit that I go into her books with so much suspension of belief that she could introduce aliens and ...

Apache Strike Force Treasure Review

Apache Strike Force (Spotless #4.5)By Camilla MonkOriginally Published July 13th, 2017Singular POV, First Person

,THIS IS A NOVELLA IN A SERIES, TO SEE MY REVIEW OF THE PREVIOUS BOOK CLICK HERE!

A quick novella meant to wrap up a few things in the Spotless series after the final last book.

Book four hurt me, so I had hoped Apache Strike Force helped ease the pain. Alas, it did not, but it is still a fun little crumb I am grateful to have all the same. I don't wish to leave this story's worl...

Diamond in the Rough Review

Diamond in the Rough (Diamond #1)By Skye WarrenOriginally Published July 7th, 2020Dual POV, First Person

I have been a longtime fan of Skye Warren and her Dark Romance books. Her Endgame Trilogy and Masterpiece Duet series' are at the top of my Dark Romance list and I recommend them all the time to people. Her writing is clear, sensual, with a dark edge that sizzles with every page. And, the best thing, all of her books are pretty much in the same world. This means we get cameos and a sense of...

Island Chaptal and the Ancient Aliens' Treasure Review

Island Chaptal and the Ancient Aliens' Treasure (Spotless #5)By Camilla MonkOriginally Published May 12th, 2020Singular POV, First Person

,THIS IS BOOK FIVE IN A SERIES, TO SEE MY REVIEW OF THE PREVIOUS NOVELLA CLICK HERE!

My Indiana Jones wanna-be heart is beating proud. I am whole again. I would die for Island Chaptal; I would kill for March.

Spotless is securely in place on my Favorite Series of All-Time list. I had never read anything like it. It was such a perfect blend of quirkiness, a...

Spotless Series Wrap-Up

After devouring books one through three, being gutted by book four, forcing myself to read the novella after still hurting, and then ultimately giving book five a chance to heal me, I have wrapped up reading the entire Spotless series.

What a ride. What a crazy, emotional rollercoaster. Book five did heal me. I absolutely love this series. It will forever be a favorite that I return to. I can't recommend this quirky, action-packed, slow-burn romance, utterly unique series enough!

Boyfriend Material Review

Boyfriend MaterialBy Alexis HallOriginally Published February 23rd, 2021Dual POV, First Person

Boyfriend Material was chosen as a buddy read for the #BABBookClub on bookstagram. I was glad I chose to join the read this month, and with perfect timing because I had just bought the audiobook for this one when the title was announced as February's read.

Boyfriend material was a charming, spastic romp of a book. An endearing Cometmproary Romance I will think of often. M/M romance; Luc and Oliver w...
