Michael C. Cordell is an author, screenwriter and blogger living in Phoenix, AZ. Among his credits, Michael has written several short stories, essays, poems and screenplays as well as a number of articles relating to technology. In addition, Michael maintains two blogs: My Life Within the Margins, a chronicle of his writing efforts and The Villa on the Hill-a, a humorous look at his life in suburbia.

A collection of Michael's short works, In The Foothills, was published in July 2008 by Foothills Villa Publishing. His second collection, Secrets of the Foothills, was published in July 2012.

Despite my love of all things Hemingway, this is one of the few examples of the movie being so much better than the book / story on which it's based.

Why are they my favorite? This was the first time Bogie & Bacall appeared on screen together and the chemistry between them is palpable. I often use their onscreen (and offscreen) relationship as a "couple template" in my own writing.(less)
