The ability to transform serves as the vehicle for d…more The intent of this book − and the story embedded in it − is to introduce the reader to genetics. The ability to transform serves as the vehicle for describing how genes work, how they are inherited, and the complexity of how they interact. The majority of the genetics content is found in the supplemental notes which reader may choose to read or disregard. Readers who want a more in depth explanation of gene functions mentioned in the narrative are encouraged to read the notes. The author attempted to make the genetics of H. sapiens scientifically accurate as of the time the book was written. (less)
