My husband would say that I was never the writer in the cliché scenes with the ashtray full of cigarettes and the cursor flashing on the first sentence. That meant when I started I was the queen of overwriting. I've learned to cut down the words a lot. (less)

I've never minded the solitude, I actually love it, but now with Debris out, I think the best thing is having your work read and enjoyed. There's nothing like that.(less)
