Create The Things You Wish Existed {poem}

Create the things you wish existedFrom the depths of your precious soul.Bring your ideas to the surfaceThen give them space and love to grow.Don’t you water down your wisdom.Let your dreams run wild and free.Create with meaning, love, and impact.You are the one who holds the keyTo birthing a grand adventure.Keep your flavour, keep your spice.Bring your magic to the table.Build your soul’s true paradise.About the Author:Kristin Pierce loves chai lattes, inspirational quotes, hunting down incre...

The Mind Behind the Books {Part 2}

If you missed the first blog post of The Mind Behind the Books, click here to see it first.One of the neat things that I noticed when I was writing my author bios for my two upcoming children's books, Magnus O'Meere, Mind Pioneer and Hazel Mist, Hypnotist is that there are a lot of similarities between Magnus' learnings, Hazel's journey, and my own. Truth be told, I honestly didn't think about it in this way before--I just wrote my stories and followed my inspiration. However, just as Magnus...

Writer's Block

Writer’s block—I just can’t unlock. My mind feels heavy as a rock. Feels so forced. Can’t get flowing. No inspiration. Nothing’s growing. Now, it’s time for drastic measures, So I can concoct some wordy treasures. Hang upside down, early to bed. Clean out the cobwebs in my head.Rise and shine, then hit the gym, To move my heart and move my limbs. Power walk. Blow off some steam. Open my mind so I can dream.Home to journal, break down belief. Meditate—spark soul relief. Unwind the pressures—so...

She {a poem}

A feisty spirit, full of grit.A heart on fire that's always lit.Won't back down on all her dreams;She knows to utilize her steam.Thinking big--outside the box;To dismantle all her limiting blocks.Chasing dreams and blazing trails.Learning, then adjusts her sails.She knows there's nothing in her way. Follows her compass. Never strays.Always shaking up perspective,Because she is so self-reflective.Teaching, inspiring to reach high--Determined everyone can fly. Made it her mission to help you be...

The Mind Behind The Books

I have not always been creative. I have not always been a writer. And I most definitely have not always been imaginative, let alone intuitive. Heck, I was the farthest thing from any of those descriptions for the majority of my life. Rewind 12 years ago and picture this: I was an analytical, left-brained, logic-machine/elite athlete who was studying sports medicine. I thought in a very linear way--A leads to B which causes C, which is how I was taught to think. Creativity didn't really fit in...

2018 Nautilus Book Award Winner

I am beyond thrilled to announce that Mayva O'Meere, Creationeer was recognized as a 2018 Nautilus Book Award Winner in the children's illustrated fiction category. It still feels surreal--in a 'pinch me' type way. Since launching my first book, I dreamed of winning an award. I did think this dream was fairly lofty and more of a pipe dream, so it is pretty crazy to have received the honour with my second self-published children's book.This post is not to toot my own horn in the least. This po...

I Found Myself in a Book {Poem}

I dove into a book, It opened my mind. Within the pages Is where I did find... Pieces of myself In wisdom and knowing. I began to understand Just where I was going. Without intending, I began to uncover The truth in myself In each book I discovered. Chewing on concepts, Awakening my power, Book after book I began to devour. Wide-eyed with wonder What could be possible? Melting old limits ‘til Big dreams felt plausible. So I followed my heart With a book in my hand, Then wrote my own story Tha...
