A suggestion instead of a question. (And you can keep this private if you'd like.) I listened to the audiobook. The narrator pronounced the name of the town of Beaufort, South Carolina as "Bow Fort." I am a native South Carolinian, and that was jarring and distracting. The correct pronunciation is "Bufert." A North Carolina coastal town has the same spelling, but is pronounced "Bowfert." I might write a scene that won't happen till much later in the book, or try to work on the timeline. I might do a character profile or try to massage the plot. If that doesn't work I get out and take a walk, or grab a book and start reading. (less)
