I'm STILL putting away my books, but to be fair, it might take less time of I stopped having a do-you-remember moment every ten minutes. But Target! How could I not photograph this excellent magazine for kids from the 90s? It had such fun articles and illustrations plus fab short stories by some excellent children's writers. I think it was the India Today group that brought it out and they should really resurrect it. #bookstagram #tbt

Went for a wander around the Bijay Mandal park next door and happened to walk into this criminally undersold monument. This is believed to be the palace of Mohammad Bin Tughlaq in the 14th century, part of the fourth Delhi settlement of Jahanpanah. Can't find very much about it except a subheading on Wikipedia but it's gorgeous and completely unexplored. #delhidiary

Has a weird flash flood almost of rain this morning that was loud enough to wake us up (that and a neighbour letting us know our car doors were unlocked). After about ten minutes of torrential rain, the sky is acting as if nothing happened. I'm lying in bed picking out shapes in the cloud and attempting to wake up. #nofilter

Because I'm so desperate to transform suddenly overnight into a great housekeeper, I might be overdoing it a bit. Honestly, how do people keep cleaning up as they work? It took me so long just to make a cup of coffee this morning because first I had to pull everything out from where I'd put it away, use it and put it back in again, then clean up spilled sugar and coffee, then rinse out cloth and lay to dry only to spill some milk. Uff. So much easier to be a slob. However, I rather like the view from our breakfast nook.

Bright and early this morning because we have no blinds yet so we're up by cock's crow (quire literally, our next door neighbours have one as a pet). Greeted by morning fog at Bijay Mandal next door which I've liberally applied filters to to make it look like a post apocalyptic situation.

Moving photo 3: and just like that we are home. It'll take a bit to make this place HOMELY though, but our brand new dining table arrived the same way we did and our Internet access should resume tomorrow, so hey, we're almost there. Ordered lunch from some place that listed "Hitler Pulao" on the menu (sausage pulao apparently) so we're a long way from Nizamuddin. Also I just had my first new conversation about the terrace key remaining only with us and not shared with all the houses (the joys of being on the highest floor) so we begin.
