I am a Canadian full time employee - mother of two - grandmother of four - married to a wonderful supportive man who writes in her spare time. I am trying to live at least part of my life doing what excites me the most.

I have had an infatuation with pens, paper and note pads since I was a small child. This love affair is still as strong today as it was when I first learned to write cursive. I can't walk into a stationary store or down an aisle of pens and paper and not get sucked in. It is so bad that my husband if we are on a mission for something will playfully cover my eyes while taking hold of my hand hurrying me by them.

I just needed to write! Stories were swimming and I needed to get them out! Being a teen I had little time between sc

I do however suffer with remembering the ideas that came to me at what are almost always times when I don't have a pen, dealing with competing priorities at work and can't pause to write, or just as I am dozing. The few times I do suffer writer's block I go back and work on my other books in an effort to perfect them - but I don't think I will EVER get them to the status I strive for. Either way I will keep trying. (less)

I can get so lost in a story and the characters. One of my favorite parts of writing is seeing the direction the characters take seemingly all on their own. What I mean is even in being the writer there is an element of surprise - I have an idea - I start to write the idea and oddly enough I wind up on a similar path but rarely exactly where I was striving to go. The story twists and turns in ways I hadn't planned. Thus the characters taking a direction of their own. Mostly I love that the story ends where I want it to. So many times I am reading, so enthralled in the story - I want more, so much more and it ends. But not when I write it. When I write it, it is over when I say it is over. I love that! (less)

My Blog

I have been reading on blogs. Everything seems to point to needing a brand or direction. All 'how to's' seem to point to talking about something the blogger is an expert in.

Well...I am an expert at nothing, and a steady onward direction is dull. That said, my blog will have no brand, and it will go in whatever direction I choose to take it in.

Any advice, recommendations or knowledge passed on fr Read more of this blog post »

“Slipping out of his remaining clothing he gracefully crawled in beside me. Body to body he lowered his lips to mine; the warmth of his strong hands on my skin sending goose bumps rippling in the wake of his touch, melting away the little inhibitions I had. With every movement of his hands and every kiss he landed first on my neck, then my shoulder, down to my breasts I grew hungrier.”
