Staccia,
I did enjoy my career very much. I enjoyed the travel, and living in a country long enough to learn some of the language and culture. My first book comes out October 2, so hopefully a library near you purchases a copy.
Being a reader myself, I write for readers.
You're welcome!

I outline, research my characters, and develop a theme. I first imagine the opening scene. Then the ending. Then, using my outline as a map, not a formula, I travel from one to the other. I've never had writer's block. (less)

It's here!

Five years ago I had this nagging feeling that there was a story waiting to be told, and it was getting impatient. Today it goes out into the world to be read, commented on, and hopefully enjoyed.

Thank you for following my journey to this moment. I invite you now to sit down, open my book, and finally join Arthur Conan Doyle, Professor Joseph Bell, and the indomitable Miss Margaret Harkness as tog Read more of this blog post »

“I have noticed over the years that the more people disparage public servants, the less time they have spent in their company. Before me was a man who had the weight of an entire community on his shoulders, confronting danger and criticism at every quarter from people he would never meet and who were, for the most part, ungrateful.”
