Cucumbers are one of those simple fruits that provides many health benefits if eaten in its natural form. They are not only delicious, and nutritious, but also help to regulate blood pressure, lower cholesterol, regulate the digestive process, and reduce inflammation. Interestingly, researchers have found that adding cucumber to the diet can actually increase the antioxidant activity in our bodies. Antioxidants are substances that fight off harmful molecules (such as cancer cells or pesticides) from damaging our cells. Eating foods that are high in antioxidants such as cucumbers helps keep our cells healthy and functioning properly. Furthermore, studies have also shown that there are a number of cucumber based compounds that possess antioxidant activity.

Cucumbers themselves are not only delicious, but they’re loaded with nutrients. Cucumbers are rich in sodium, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus, manganese, potassium, and fiber. Moreover, cucumbers are one of the highest sources of vitamin C in the food world. In fact, besides being the worlds largest vegetable, cucumbers are also one of the most important foods to eat if you want to get your daily amount of vitamin C. Prostaglandins are known to stimulate tumor growth and inflammation. So eating cucumbers may help prevent certain forms of cancer from forming. Thus, not only can cucumbers be used in cooking but also in treating various health problems.

Hit the Trails

Hiking is a great way for the whole family to get a serious workout, enjoy nature and reduce their stress levels at the same time. The Differences Between Formal Education and Informal Education

Education is the systematic process of fostering learning, the acquisition of academic knowledge, academic skills, attitudes, values, and behaviors, and social learning. Educational systems typically include teaching, practice, research, and guided learning. Schools are governed by governmental regulations that set standards and criteria for education. In education, it is considered the role of the school to disseminate knowledge in an effective and meaningful manner. The process of educating and training students involves the basic education like comprehension, grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, and understanding.

Community-based education system is developed by locally concerned teachers and community members working with the support of parents, other stakeholders, governmental agencies, and schools. They seek to build a culture of academic responsibility within a diverse group of peers. Public education is provided by teachers who receive formal certification as educators or are licensed at state levels.

Teachers form the major segment of workforce that contributes to overall education outcomes. A principal’s formal education can begin at kindergarten through high school. At the elementary school level, elementary school teachers instruct children in physical education, grammar, reading, writing, and teaching composition. Elementary school teachers also prepare students for higher education through professional training and completion of a certified teacher certification program.

Middle school and secondary school provide additional instruction in subject matter areas such as mathematics, science, reading, foreign language, social studies, and other general education courses. An emerging form of formal education used widely in the United States is  English language instruction, which helps students learn the basics of written communication and sentence structure. Students also learn the basics of history, geography, government, and other social science topics through formal English language instruction.

Informal learning generally occurs at times when there is less pressure, such as on vacations, when parents can spend quality time with their children, or when people are unable or unwilling to attend traditional classes. Informal education is also valuable for workers who may be unable or unwilling to attend a school or college in the traditional manner.

As more educators work towards making the classroom an inclusive place for learning, non-formal education is becoming an increasingly important part of the learning process. The benefits of informal learning are especially evident in the workplace. For example, many companies now encourage employees to engage in personal self-service learning while they are on the clock. This form of education allows employees to develop job-related skills that employers often prize.

What are hugs? Are they only for couples? Is hugging only romantic? Believe it or not, there are different types of hugs. Not only are there different kinds, but they also come in different colors, shades, and styles. Here are the different kinds of hugs:

The Ooh: This is known to be the first hug. It is between children and adults, usually inspired by an affectionate hug from someone they love. Ooh is often accompanied by an “Ooh” sound. This particular hug type is very cute, and kids love it! When holding hands with an adult, place your hand between his or her shoulder and the top of his or her back and then extend your hug. If both people are involved, this will become a symbol of unity – as if bringing two people together symbolizes love.

The Smile: This hug usually takes place when people are happy and even surprised. In this instance, both participants smile and feel happy about being together. To do this, place your lips on the other’s mouth, and then lean in close to each other. This will create a feeling of intimacy, security, and closeness between the two of you.

The Thrush: Do you know what truth is? Well, if not, you just met some very cool people. Simply put, thrush is an infection of the glands found on the tongue and inside the mouth. To avoid this disease, be sure to rinse your mouth with warm water after swallowing. Also, do not touch your tongue to your face, and do not hold your tongue close to someone else’s mouth.

The Jealousy: People get jealous when someone else excels at something they do not excel at. There is no better way to show your jealousy than by hugging your enemies. When this works, make sure you completely understand the cause of the apology. Never try to change the other person’s behavior, as this will end up backfiring on you.

The Reflection: Hugs are very good at reflecting the emotions of both parties involved. Make sure to give your best friend or partner a big hug when they have achieved something great. If you compliment them well, they will surely appreciate your gesture. However, be careful not to direct your appreciation too much. Too much appreciation can make the other person angry.

There are three forms of treatment available for ADHD. They are stimulant-based drugs, non-stimulant drugs, and diet treatments. Homeopathy Works For A Wide Range Of Health Conditions

Homeopathy or homeopathic is a form of alternative medical practice that arose in the late eighteenth century from the German physician, Samuel Hahnemann. In 1796, Hahnemann developed what is now known as homeopathy, which stands for ‘home and natural’. He believed there were distinct types of matter (form) that could be administered to different people according to their temperament. These different kinds of matter could then act as a remedy to various diseases. This practice has grown in popularity ever since. In particular, it has gained acceptance among skeptics who doubt the effectiveness of modern medicines.

Although homeopathy has some merits as a method of healing, it also faces many criticisms. The biggest problem with homeopathy is its use of natural substances rather than those that are chemically engineered. Because the substances are organic, homeopathy has to be used carefully. It should never be confused with conventional medicine where drugs are synthesized and administered. Also, homeopathic remedies cannot be taken directly from health situations but must be diluted with water.

Most health conditions can be treated effectively using homeopathic remedies. However, homeopathy requires a lot of dedication on the part of the practitioner. Homeopathy requires regular assessment and consultation regarding any changes in health conditions. A homeopathic treatment may not be appropriate for a certain health condition unless all other available treatments have been ruled out. Homeopathy physicians will often recommend dilutions of twenty parts per million (PPM) for mild to moderate diseases. In the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), homeopathy physicians are required to obtain a letter from the local pharmacist stating that the homeopathy doctor informed them that the homeopathy medicine was diluted in accordance with good-quality evidence.

Dilution is also used to treat a range of health conditions. In fact, homeopathy practitioners prefer to use dilutions of one part per million (PPM) rather than the recommended five parts per million (5PPM). Homeopathy practitioners also choose not to use dilutions beyond the recommended strength, as dilution makes little difference to the treatment. Many homeopathic practitioners also dilute their preparations with vegetable oils, herbs, organic salts, or other diluting agents.
