L.A. Di Paolo is a Canadian-Italian-American who lives in Pottstown, PA. By day–being a biologist–he directs drug development projects. By night, he rides and writes. But his horse is not the source of his inspiration. Rather, the agitation in his mind is. Which led him eventually to publish the first book of his first novel, though writing is not novel to him.

Once I have these listed, I will begin the writing of the second volume, so in a week or two. And because, as I reread the first, I inevitably find errors, I mark them for correction in the next version of the first book.(less)

But I have not been able to identify a set of conditions which would cause me to be inspired, despite being a scientist. What I have understood, is that some days will bad, others good, and others still amazingly so. Therefore, my approach is to simply sit down and work, every day, and if inspiration does not come on a particular day, I stop or work on things which do not require inspiration (such as outlines, or editing), or which might require a different kind of inspiration (like maps, character profiles, etc.).(less)
