Jade Nicole Beals was born in Brooklyn, NY where she discovered her love for the written word. She has written two poetry collections, Moonflower and A Little Honey Sweetens The Flame. Jade is also a visual artist who paints acrylic on canvas.

Many wonderful poems! I’d not realized this was specifically a ‘poetry written by children anthology.’

I’d found the most inspiring one to me was the haiku!
And the ghazal poem was just too incredible to fully read then as I’d browsed thru the book,

“I learned...that inspiration does not come like a bolt, nor is it kinetic, energetic striving, but it comes into us slowly and quietly and all the time, though we must regularly and every day give it a little chance to start flowing, prime it with a little solitude and idleness.”
