Jill Marie is a native of southern California who, after a whirlwind life as a military wife, now makes her home with her husband in North Carolina, where she serves at the beck and call of two cats and five adorable grandchildren. Obsessions include all things animal rescue, fairy-tale romances, collecting model horses, and perfecting the perfect pastry crust.

Carabosse and the Spindle Spell by Sylvia Mercedes
"Frankly I'm just happy because I don't think I've ever read a retelling where the villain is actually Carabosse.

As a dancer who performed the Sleeping Beauty Ballet for approximately 7 years this intrigues me.

“I'll never tell you to stop loving. You see, I believe in hopeless love. Oh yes. I believe in it with all my heart, though you may discount the heart of an old nanny like me. For real love brings pain. Real love means sacrifices and hurts and all the thousand shocks of life. But it also means beauty, true beauty.”
Anne Elisabeth Stengl, Moonblood

“She stared at the featureless iron and felt more keenly than ever the distance between them. Now. Now was the time to say what might be the last words he would ever hear from her.
"Fight," she said at last. "Win.”
Suzannah Rowntree, Pendragon's Heir

“Then I plop into the sand, look up at the vast starry sky above, and cry until my tears run dry. I am alone, as I always have been.”
Kate Stradling, Namesake

“This is not a good place,” I say, getting to my feet.

“Yeah, well.” Brielle shrugs. “It IS the entrance to a demon’s garden.”
Sylvia Mercedes, Of Wolves and Wardens
