She's thirty years old, still unmarried, and spends most of her time trying to avoid her family. She's called home when strange rifts begin to appear across Thiyra, releasing bizarre and terrifying monsters onto the land.

As her mother goes to increasingly dangerous lengths to force answers from Inthya's gods, Esybele is sent to Domeysil to find out what the connection is between the elves and the monsters that threaten not only the continent, but the entire world.

I don't have a release date for this one yet, but it probably won't be until 2022 at the earliest. Since it's the last book I have planned for the series, I want to take a little extra time and make sure I do it justice. (Not saying I'll never write another TOI book, just that it's the last one I've got planned for now).(less)

I really have a hard time speaking positively about any of my work, hahaha.

I mean, I guess I like how they're each a self-contained story but also tie together and also have a background plot that is building up to the final book. I think that's pretty neat. But I'm biased.(less)

Book 5 Release, New Patreon-Exclusive Novel, Etc

Okay, a few quick updates in no particular order!

Tales of Inthya #5, Daughter of the Moon, was released last winter. So if you haven’t checked that out yet, maybe take a look? I’m told it’s pretty good!

I’ve decided to step away from ko-fi and go patreon exclusive. I’ve got nothing against ko-fi, it’s a great site, it was just getting annoying to update every month on two different sites. The reas

“Don’t ever put your happiness in someone else’s hands. They’ll drop it. They’ll drop it every time.”
Christopher Barzak, One for Sorrow

“Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live. And unselfishness is letting other people's lives alone, not interfering with them. Selfishness always aims at creating around it an absolute uniformity of type. Unselfishness recognizes infinite variety of type as a delightful thing, accepts it, acquiesces in it, enjoys it. It is not selfish to think for oneself. A man who does not think for himself does not think at all. It is grossly selfish to require of one's neighbor that he should think in the same way, and hold the same opinions. Why should he? If he can think, he will probably think differently. If he cannot think, it is monstrous to require thought of any kind from him. A red rose is not selfish because it wants to be a red rose. It would be horribly selfish if it wanted all the other flowers in the garden to be both red and roses.”
Oscar Wilde, The Soul of Man and Prison Writings

“These mountains that you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb.”
Najwa Zebian

“The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting. This is the treason of the artist; a refusal to admit the banality of evil and the terrible boredom of pain.”
Ursula K. LeGuin, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas
