Born in Montreal, Quebec, Inger and her family immigrated to the United States in the early 1960’s. Growing up in the quiet suburban town of Ramsey, New Jersey, she attended Ramsey High School, where she developed her love for both writing and art. As an art major at William Paterson University, she eventually earned her Masters in Visual Arts, with concentrations in English and Education.

Inger returned to her love of writing after her children headed to college. Under the covers, with a flashlight, I would read well into the night, defying parental commands to go to sleep. Loving the classics, I delved into Dickens, Bronte, Austin, Hardy, Steinbeck and Hemingway, pulling books out from my father's vast library. Often sneaking books that were over my head (and totally inappropriate for a young reader), I was seriously questioned once by my seventh grade teacher when she spotted "The Godfather" tucked in my bookbag!

Reading leads to writing. The love of the written word is a passion, one that never disappoints. And reading everything, from War and Peace to a corny romance novel, gave me all the inspiration I ever needed. (less)

The book-within-the-book

Remember that Seinfeld episode where Cramer publishes a coffee table book about coffee tables that becomes a coffee table itself?

Well, that is kind of what The Rule of Thirds is like.

In this third book in the Things Come in Threes series, the characters create a book together. Traveling along with them on their journey, the reader is able to experience the creative process and the inspiration that Read more of this blog post »
