Kevin is an award-winning author, and filmmaker. He's been involved in about a dozen films in various capacities, and as a writer, editor, co-writer, and contributor, he's been involved in too many books to count. Raised on a farm outside of Foam Lake, Saskatchewan, Kevin still thinks the prairies are the best place to be, but the mountains are a close second. He currently makes his home in Kimberley, BC, with his wife and four kids. Learn more about Kevin at www.kevinmillerxi.com.

Writer's block is a manifestation of perfectionism, which is a creativity and productivity killer. I made this realization several years ago, and the moment I realized I would never get things perfect, I started to have a lot more fun, and I became way more prolific. Writing is a matter of incremental improvement, so don't be too hard on yourself right out of the gate. Keep throwing time and resources at whatever you're working on, and it will get better. And if you happen to hit a creative wall, don't be afraid to walk away from a while. That's not writer's block; that's your brain saying it needs a bit more time to process whatever problem you're tackling in the background while you work on other things. (less)

Nothing beats that first opportunity to hold a book I've written or a movie I've made. It's a miracle every time. (less)

New book just released!

I just fulfilled a lifelong dream and have released my first science-fiction story. It's called GEO, and it's about the inaugural journey of a space elevator that goes horribly wrong. Available as an ebook on Amazon. Soon to be available in paperback.

Very conflicted about this issue and the series as a whole. I count Watchmen among the best things I've ever read in any genre, so Johns is certainly treading on holy ground. Though I thought the first few issues showed promise, the long production ...more

"Bad final issue.
Of course you have to close the arguments you opened in last 11 issues.
But remember: you have readers. They are not after an enciclopedia. They want a limited series, a thriller, a big unforgettable story.
And you, Geoff Johns, just..." Read more of this review »
