Misty Hayes has always had a thing for escaping headfirst into fantastical books. This is what led her to start writing her own adventures. As someone who has spent a long career in law enforcement, Misty has a love for strong female protagonists. She also directs short films and claims to have been bitten by the traveling bug (not to be mistaken for a radioactive spider).

When Misty isn't filming or roaming the planet, or diving into another novel, she's spending time at home in Texas with her myriad of nieces and nephews in tow.

The Blood Dagger Series is a multiple award-winning, high-octane Young Adult Paranormal trilogy.

The Outcasts has received recognition for a Literary Titan award, IndieBRAG Medallion, 2018 solo medalist winner of

If you have not released it yet, I would definitely suggest doing a pre-sale option for your book three months in advance before your launch date. This gives you time to submit your ARC's for reviews (if you plan on having your novel in print format). Get on social media and promote, promote, promote. Your platform should be brimming with Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Unfortunately, once your book is completed, that's not the hardest part done... marketing and getting out there is the hardest. Look for your genre audience and cast a wide a net as possible. Hope this helps! Good luck with your book!(less)

“The colors melded in nature's tableau - green and blue and gold: the land, the sea, the sun. I could barely make out the whites of the waves as they broke over jagged cliffs below us.”
Misty Hayes, The Watchers

“The closest I'd ever gotten was a trip with Mom and Dad to Austin, Texas, through hill country: gently curving roads dissected by giant oaks, rolling rivers, and fields of bluebonnets so bountiful you'd think you'd stepped right into the heart of the ocean.”
