I picked up a snow globe which had a musical box in the base.…moreI was inspired to write the 'Secrets of the Snow Globe' series while Christmas shopping. I picked up a snow globe which had a musical box in the base. As I wound the key and listened to the music play, I imagined the music being stolen and pictured two children shrinking into the snow globe to retrieve it.(less)

When I reach the writing stage, I know exact…moreI don't tend to experience writer's block when I am writing because I like to plan my stories in advance. When I reach the writing stage, I know exactly where I am heading. Writer's block can happen when planning and I am developing a new plot. That's the time when I get up and start household chores to switch my brain to something else! I find that ideas come together better after a short break. Also, I find it invaluable to bounce ideas off someone else, usually my husband (bless him!).(less)
