Jon lives in Cambridgeshire, UK, with his lovely wife and two brilliant boys.
In 2017, after winning a short-story competition, Jon finally had the courage to self-publish his first book;
The Witch Of Gallows Oak.
A second, The Chapter-house Beast, followed soon after, with a third, Jonah Naismith and the Witch in The Woods, released recently.
A fourth book is due to be published soon, with several others already in progress (including a sequel to Jonah Naismith)
Jon is also an archaeologist (Dip HE), with interests in mythology, folklore, history, supernatural and paranormal studies and, well, basically anything considered strange or bizarre.

Jon Clynch Middle Earth, without a doubt! I'd settle in Hobbiton, with frequent trips to Rivendell, avoiding all 'entanglements' with dragons, Nazgul, and orcs -…moreMiddle Earth, without a doubt! I'd settle in Hobbiton, with frequent trips to Rivendell, avoiding all 'entanglements' with dragons, Nazgul, and orcs - and I'd run a mile from any rings I discovered! I'd sit outside the evening sun with Mithrandir (or Gandalf, as he is known) and smoke a pipe of Long-Bottom Leaf and watch the world go by. I'd perhaps have the odd adventure, but nothing too dangerous. And I'd love to meet Tom Bombadil. (less)
