Jon lives in Cambridgeshire, UK, with his lovely wife and two brilliant boys.
In 2017, after winning a short-story competition, Jon finally had the courage to self-publish his first book;
The Witch Of Gallows Oak.
A second, The Chapter-house Beast, followed soon after, with a third, Jonah Naismith and the Witch in The Woods, released recently.
A fourth book is due to be published soon, with several others already in progress (including a sequel to Jonah Naismith)

I'd settle in Hobbiton, with frequent trips to Rivendell, avoiding all 'entanglements' with dragons, Nazgul, and orcs - and I'd run a mile from any rings I discovered! I'd sit outside the evening sun with Mithrandir (or Gandalf, as he is known) and smoke a pipe of Long-Bottom Leaf and watch the world go by. I'd perhaps have the odd adventure, but nothing too dangerous. And I'd love to meet Tom Bombadil. (less)

Confessions of a newbie writer

Regret is one of the strangest factors of human existence. It is without doubt a painful thing, experienced by most, at one time or another. Often it feels futile; you cannot change the past, that action can't be undone, cause, effect and consequence have all waded in to make your life seem is if things will never be right again as you wallow in a gloomy pit of despondency, ruing your folly.
