You are so sweet! =) This was an accidental author photo. My brother-in-law, who is exceptionally talented, took the photos of me for my website. He snapped this one when I was laughing, and out of every one, we thought it was the best. I love it because it's a reminder of how happy I was that day even thinking that I had an author website to take photos for.

Regarding the title....no! GRAVEMAIDENS was what my lovely agent Kari Sutherland came up with after I'd literally been through every title I could possibly think of with her and my family and my friends and even my editor. When I first submitted my ms to her it was SOULS OF DEAD GIRLS, and when we went out on sub, it was JERICHO ROSE. So....it's definitely been through some changes! (less)

Just finished Sara Faring's THE TENTH GIRL, and holy horseflies, nobody is ready. Probably one of the most mind-bending books I’ve ever read. Wildly imaginative and complex. Dark with frightening children. Well done, Sara, you evil overlord.
