Hi! My name is Eleonora Degano and I am a journalist, working in the field of science communication. I’m also a technical translator, copywriter and editor/ proofreader.

I graduated in Biology in 2012 and then obtained a post-graduate Master in Scientific Digital Journalism. I’ve been working with the Italian edition of National Geographic as a contributor since 2013 and I am a staff writer for OggiScienza magazine; you can also find me on the (web) pages of Hello World, StartupItalia! and within the freelancers team of communication agencies like IN3D and Textappeal. I’ve been awarded two prizes for my work, the Tomassetti Journalistic Prize in 2016 for an article about HIV prevention and the Diabetes on the Media Journalistic Prize in 2017

Philip Roth
“You go to someone and you think, 'I'll tell him this.' But why? The impulse is that the telling is going to relieve you. And that's why you feel awful later--you've relieved yourself, and if it truly is tragic and awful, it's not better, it's worse---the exhibitionism inherent to a confession has only made the misery worse.”
Philip Roth, American Pastoral
