I get so bogged down in everyday life thoughts that you might wonder how and where I get my ideas for my books. Well, most of my book ideas have come from dreams. I am really great a remembering my dreams. If I have a really great storyline from one I am sure to jot it down. I keep a pad of paper and pen in my room and I pull it out and jot down my ideas even at 3am. My creative mind is at its best when I can shut off my everyday thoughts. This only happens when I am sleeping ;) Most writers will tell you that you need to find ways to quiet the mind to let the creativity flow and they are correct. Find something easy and fun to do that doesn't require a lot of thinking. When you allow your mind to wander off it allows space for the creative thoughts to creep in!(less)
