Janis Lasky Couvreux is an award-winning writer, journalist, Franco-American, lover of languages, travel and adventure addict, and sailor. Formerly a newspaper reporter and freelance journalist, Janis currently blogs at Huffington Post, Pryme Magazine, and The Lady Alliance, writing about living bilingually, crossing oceans, backpacking adventures, and raising kids outside the box. If I get stuck (which happens often), I just let it lie, and go on to another part. But mostly, I tell my brain “Okay, it’s up to you, work on it, think about it.” And then I don’t, but my brain does. Sure enough, without fail, it wakes me up at 3 a.m., or it comes to me on my run, or in the shower. I trust my brain without me, so I try to get out of its way.(less)
