I'm imagining a series based in my hometown Albuquerque, featuring normal people as the characters, who face everyday challenges and work through very real issues. Some stories, like Brynn and Josh's, will be more sweet and light. Some, like Gina and Jaydon's (which is what I'm currently working on) will be a little heavier, with some deeper wounds that need very real healing. Next after that I want to tell Caleb's story. He was the not-for-Brynn guy in Book 1, and while he's a little vanilla for her, he might just be a perfect match for someone else.(less)

When I start thinking of characters in my head, I like to explore all of the rabbit trails and avenues of possibility that might unfurl as they make different choices. As a writer, I get to rewrite scenes that may not have worked out in the real lives of people I know. It's fun to imagine if we'd had the nerve to speak up, or thought of that great comeback, or if we'd run into so-and-so again, what would we have said or done? How might we have wanted that scene to play out? Would it have worked in real life, or were we better off having had things play out the way they did? The What If game is always fun to play if it's approached from a perspective of open-possibilities and not as a place of wishful thinking we get trapped in--that's just not healthy. But played in the right context, it's definitely fun.(less)

I am not a blogger.

Just in case you didn’t realize that. Because, you know, I haven’t posted anything since January. And I released a book in April, so that was a total fail if I’d ever intended to become one. But I’m not, so that’s cool.

I admire those brave souls who constantly come up with interesting content, become influencers in industry and culture, and use their voices to share their awesomeness. But, agai...

I loved Wyatt and Caroline’s story! So much chemistry and so many funny moments. As always, Jenn Faulk found inspiring ways to bring positive change and character growth through spiritual truths, while still bringing levity and fun.

I listened to the audiobook via Hoopla. I enjoyed the story, the quirky but charming characters, and the time period. It’s unusual to find recent historical novels, and this was set in 1965. I don’t usually enjoy live triangles, but the way this was ...more
