I have always written stories, starting in primary school with a flashlight and a notebook and pen under the covers at night to where I am now, a physical book in hand, printed and bound. Fantasy has a magical way of taking me on adventures any time life seemed too mundane or busy even, I love art and enjoy painting, lately I've started with miniature figurines. I have lots of pets, I love them dearly. I have lots of characters, I love them too. I've never been very good at talking about myself so following on from this is the first page to my novel Crimson Skies:

The Heavens are drenched in the same chaos as an immolation, bleeding into the sky their side of the canyon.
The four of them must leave. It’s getting late; the sky is red.

Dyle fastens the buttons on Sarla’s jacket and secures the hood to conceal her face from the Day Army’s return this evening. They stand on their front steps, his hand to her cheek. He kisses her forehead before slipping on thick work gloves.
Tiny paws kneed for attention. Dyle picks up a large yet skinny mole, it’s ribs protruding against his fingers, even through the gloves, and he places the vermin on the broken windowsill. The animal’s fur still soft as silk, despite this drought, has a gentle glow.
Sarla scratches the top of his head and he nuzzles into her hand. “I’m going to miss you, Ashire.”
“Someone will take him in, moles find work quickly,” Dyle assures her, tugging on her coat signalling it’s time to go.
Sarla closes the door to their assigned narrow, living space and steps into the street with him. He takes her hand as they hurry along. Her boot heels tap on the hard floor; she quickly takes to running on her toes.
Even now, Dyle finds himself appreciating how agile she has always been. It was the first thing that drew him to the dancer.
They peer over their shoulders, but no one is following, yet.

Aila looks back into her house. Her reading chair, with the hole in its leather backrest, sits next to the fireplace and spinning wheel, seeing it brings back many fond memories. She hopes whoever is next allocated the small room finds as much comfort in that corner as she did.
Aila pulls her front door to, the thin strips of wood barely making a sound against the frame. She rests her hand on the worn painted door and whispers goodbye. Dry, old paint dusts her fingertips blue. Keeping the souvenir for as long as it will last, she does not brush the reminder of home from her fingers as she leaves.
Small and quick on her feet; she darts through twisting roads until she spots two figures ahead. Dark, thick clothing serves to hide them from the guards and survive the night chill.
