I have always written stories, starting in primary school with a flashlight and a notebook and pen under the covers at night to where I am now, a physical book in hand, printed and bound. Fantasy has a magical way of taking me on adventures any time life seemed too mundane or busy even, I love art and enjoy painting, lately I've started with miniature figurines. This books follows centuries after Crimson Skies and is set on the other side of the canyon. My writing world is called Taipan and this particular story follows on in a forest; a very different place from the endless red sand you are used to reading in Crimson Skies. There are many different races in Taipan, but Elements of Night is centered around two of the races. The Kayenne are witches trapped inside hyena-morphs, they traded the ability to heal rapidly in exchange for the witch in them to make an appearance when necessary. The Aquila are dark elves forged from glass and Death. The Aquila were never concerned with witches, they took up issue with the Ca'em; the creature's that betrayed the Aquila when they were all one and the same thing. But the hyena arrived, demanding immediate attention and that's where Elements of Night begins.
I have finished this story, it is with the publishers for editing and die for release early next year, release date to be confirmed still.(less)
