Colorado native and former OR nurse, Helen Starbuck is an award-winning author of The Annie Collins Mystery Series and the standalone romantic suspense novels Legacy of Secrets, Finding Alex, and The Woman He Used to Know.

No relation to the coffee bunch, she doesn't get free coffee, but she drinks it while writing. She writes her mystery series from the perspective of Annie Collins, an OR nurse, and draws from her love of suspense and romance to create her standalone novels. She enjoys books about strong women and interesting men. Follow her on Facebook (facebook.com/helensstarbuck), Instagram (instagram.com/helenstarbuck/), and her web site (helenstarbuck.com).

Lucky O’Toole, smart, funny, sarcastic and the perfect person to handle all the bizarre things that happen in a large Las Vegas casino hotel. Very enjoyable read, characters to root for and humor, which always rates high in my book

Always a treat

The characters are delightful and the humor is irresistible, both makes a story about vampires, psychics, ‘naturals’, empaths, and shifters totally believable and entertaining. Highly recommend for a fun read.

"It was good to reconnect with Annie and Angel again! Starbuck has kept their personalities intact even though they’ve been through a lot of trauma
Annie can’t help but meddle where she shouldn’t in this book, it’s a continuing theme, and unsettling.

great series

Love the characters and the plots. A more realistic portrayal, in my opinion, of small town policing. A good read

“The story goes that a public sinner was excommunicated and forbidden entry to the church. He took his woes to God. 'They won't let me in, Lord, because I am a sinner.'

'What are you complaining about?' said God. 'They won't let Me in either.”
Brennan Manning, The Ragamuffin Gospel: Good News for the Bedraggled, Beat-Up, and Burnt Out

“The wages of sin are death, but by the time taxes are taken out, it's just sort of a tired feeling.
