Young Writer’s Survival Kit Goodie Bag

I will be a panelist for a youth writing workshop soon. I am very excited about this. I have created a goodie bag for the workshop, a Young Writer’s Survival Kit. I wanted to give them something to take home. And I wanted to give them chocolate. Because of course.

Here is my haul, mostly from the Dollar Store.
I got 128MB flash drives from Amazon $2 each, and I had the shiny paper hoarded from forever.

Gingerbread Lullaby – Original Flash Fiction

Marta watched as the child approached the cabin, waiting. Her anger swelled as the young girl grew nearer. Here was one more opportunity. They would all pay. Every child in the village would burn.

Lisel crept up the steps, shaking from the chill and tired. Her dress dirty, the ribbons binding her hair snagged on a bush somewhere. He plaits had fallen and tangled, golden still with twigs and bits of leaf.

Marta tried to encourage the girl in, sending a chill breeze at her back. The child...

Why is it so hard to accept the party is over? – Original Flash Fiction

Getting hooked on a game doesn’t get any better. Until you have to go back to work.

I rip my bra off the moment I get in the door, dragging on comfy clothes while tossing food in the microwave. I guzzle a bottle of water and stuff reheated chicken in my face. I already have snacks at my chair, energy balls and stuff. I have the entire weekend to play Weself and I just hope I don’t run out of toilet paper before I get to work Monday.

The first time I tried Weself was at a party. I had h...

Fabulous Novel Action Plan

Spoiler alert: There is no road map to your novel. Any and all writing advice is just that, advice for you to adjust to fit you.

Fabulous Novel Action Plan

I am currently developing my process and learning more about how I write. One thing I like to have is a plan. I can hear you laughing. Yes, a plan, for writing a book. I like to know what is expected of me and what comes next. Capricorn, I am.
That being said, a plan is only good until things start moving. As in a military exercise, chess game, or football play, yo...

The Limits Of Our Imperfection – Original Flash Fiction

The Limits Of Our Imperfection

A woman makes a choice that will change much more than her body.

No one had ever bothered to tell her about this part.

Everyone was drifting away from her. Her parents were off RVing across the country, which was more of a blessing than not. Most of her school friends had moved away. Her local friends were all raising children, some alongside careers. Even Jack had drifted away from her, since they started fighting about having kids.

Why he thought she would suddenly change her mind about...

Will lasagna solve her problems, or is the danger even deeper than she thought?
Follow along on a suspenseful journey as she struggles to reconcile herself with his “successes.”
Buy this book today and find out what happens!

This is a quick, stand-alone read.

What other people are saying:
