Although always interested in creative writing, Phil Andrews published his first and so far only novel The Best Year Of Our Lives in July 2017 at the tender age of 55. Describing it as "my lifetime's work", it was the fulfilment of his long-held desire to consign to record the thoughts, dreams, aspirations and events which defined his adolescence in the mid-1970s - a beautiful and most magical period of his life - albeit in a fictional and romanticised setting.
