The Bittersweet Revenge 2

I've noticed that a lot of readers are becoming restless with urban fiction. As I peruse through my social media author accounts I am starting to see a trend.....readers asking for a change. I pride myself on providing readers with stories based on ethnic characters, but with a twist. My books are not the typical "Savage" "Thot" "Chick" "Fell in love with a..." kind of stories. I strive to give you action, surprises, and unexpected drama at every turn.

The Bittersweet Revenge is a trilogy I came up with last year. One morning I was carrying on with my usual morning routine. Picture it, 1932, Sicily..... (Sorry, I couldn't resist the Golden Girls quote!) No, really, picture it....5am on my porch waiting for the sun to rise while smoking a Newport when all of the sudden the entire plot of a three book series came out of no where and invaded my mind.

I have been very busy helping other authors get published, so I wasn't able to focus on my writing. Now that I have had a few weeks to myself, I've devoted that time to the second installment of The Bittersweet Revenge. If you have not read the first book, please do. Give me your honest opinion! I love the feedback. So far all I can tell is that the readers want more, and they wish I had made the story longer. I write novella's. I love to get straight to the point, no filler, no chaser!

Book 2 will be released this month and I would love to gain more followers and fans. Please read my books and follow me!

Thank you in advance!

Cabin in the woods

If you've read my author bio, you already know that I am a housewife. Being an author and a housewife has it's obvious challenges. Finding quiet time to dedicate to writing is difficult. I could write so much more if I wasn't constantly being harassed by my 2 year old. How can you formulate a sentence while hearing "Mommy, MOMMY, Mooooooooomy" 10,751,375 times a day? Sounds impossible right? I've heard that established authors have taken "book-cations" to a remote cabin in the woods where they can get their creative juices flowing uninterrupted. Maybe Bambi will nibble on foliage in front of the cabin, or a hummingbird might hum it's nature song by a nearby window.

It sounds like a marvelous retreat that will produce an excellent manuscript. I don't have the luxury to hone my craft in this manner. Being a mother of a 2 year old, one year old, 2 special needs children, a 10 year old,two 11 year olds, a 12 year old, a 15 year old and a 17 year old is a daunting feat. Wow, that's a lot of kids you might say. Why, yes it is! I didn't birth them all. If you read my book It's Me. Her. The Housewife, you'll understand how I ended up with so many children.

Instead of a cabin in the woods, I have a king sized bed that doubles as my office. I take an hour or so after the children are asleep to write if I am not too tired. I also take my MacBook to the restroom! It's one of the only semi quiet places I can retreat to undisturbed if my 2 year old doesn't bang on the door screaming "MOMMY!" repeatedly.

I plan to meet this cabin in the woods idea somewhere down the middle and resort for a suite at a hotel once a month. A mommy's got to do what a mommy's got to do to accomplish her goals!
