This book was about a young woman with a dark past while a serial killer roamed free and killed many victims that she knew. The story was told in many points of views and there was an interesting twist at the end.

Pretty interesting concept of aliens suppressing the other 90% of our brains. An advanced alien race determines that humans are ready to be slowly introduced to the rest of their brains as well as the bigger picture: the verse not just a universe.
