Thank you so much for reading TQOH!

You can probably tell I'm an obsessive book lover myself. I'll never approach any of these luminaries in my own writing (and they have variable writing styles and genres) but I love to read Bill Bryson, Tom Wolfe, Donna Tartt, Michio Kaku, Kwame Alexander, and Helen Fielding, along with dozens of others.

I was most influenced to write not by any single writer but by my collective admiration for storytellers in general, and a desire to use my medical background as a setting for an entertaining story. I'm definitely a word nerd.(less)

I think it dives into Nick's psychological makeup--he was fairly immature emotionally during residency. I think he did love Zadie but bought into the perception of himself as an alpha-male type who didn't need to commit to just one person in a relationship. Later, I think he regretted his actions, but by then, obviously, it was too late.(less)

PJ: Dear Reader, I know The Antidote for Everything swept you off your feet. Kimmery is a wicked talent and her writing oozes clever voice, delicious one-liners, and heartbreak in equal measure. In Martin’s follow up to her critically acclaimed debut, The Queen of Hearts, the “Liane Moriarty of Medical Fiction” (in quotes because I tweeted it once) explores the deep friendship between physicians Ge Read more of this blog post »
