BODY MOVERS–the TV series!
Finally, finally, I'm able to announce that my BODY MOVERS humorous mystery series has been optioned by Sony Pictures Television for TV series development! The television division of Laura Ziskin (of SUPERMAN and AS GOOD AS IT GETS fame) will produce, and a writing team is working on a pilot script now! The next step will be pitching to networks, so fingers crossed that a network will like the idea enough to order that a pilot be filmed. I'll be posting updates as I receive them. Thanks s...

No, I won't read your manuscript
I met a new writing friend over the weekend (he's a screenwriter) and the conversation turned to how often people ask us to read their works-in-progress, and how it puts us in such an awkward position. In short–it's a little offensive when someone asks us to read their work gratis because 1) we have our own work to do and 2) most people would never ask another professional to provide their services for free. Yet, there have been times in my career when friends and relatives have asked me...

Email and texting has made me a better writer
When I first got into fiction writing (way back in 1993), I worked in the corporate world and email was an intra-company tool that only certain employees had access to. By the time I sold my first manuscript in 1995, email was more prevalent in companies like mine that were IT centric, but the book industry didn't commonly use email and personal email wasn't yet the rage. (That seems unimaginable now, doesn't it?) The first couple of years I was a writer, if I sent my editor an email, I...

Song recommendations?
I'm looking for some good songs to add to my "running" playlist to keep me motivated as I rack up the miles training for the half-marathon at the end of March–any recommendations? I listen to any and all genres of music!

New "book"!
TOO HOT TO PRIN
T is an e-novella that's available only by download for e-book readers or to read on your computer. This hot romance is a sequel to last year's SEDUCTION BY THE BOOK, another story about the women who form an erotic book club. TOO HOT TO PRINT features the bookclub's coordinator, Gabrielle, a mousy librarian who thinks her chance for romance has passed her by…until she has an encounter with a handsome stranger on the train. A quick, hot read that is wholly romantic. TOO...

New year, new projects
A new year….finally! I've never been a person to wish my life away, but I, like most everyone, was eager to put 2009 behind me and start anew in 2010. Let's hope the economy and everyone's spirits improve this year. (I'm inspired and humbled by how generous Americans have been during the Haitian relief effort when so many people here at home are experiencing their own hardships.)
I've been holding my breath for months, waiting to share some good news, but unfortunately, I'm going to have t...

New book!
I have a new book on the shelves! SEDUCTION BY THE BOOK is a Harlequin Blaze release, a super sexy read. It's an "Encounters" book, meaning it's made up of 4 individual stories that are related, all of them written by me. In SEDUCTION BY THE BOOK, a group of women form an erotic book club, then decide to put the lessons they learn from the classic erotic literature to the test to seduce the man of their dreams:
In the short story "Between the Covers," Cassie Goodwin decides to show her...

Yes, there will be more BODY MOVERS books!
Finally, some news about the BODY MOVERS series! I'm pleased to announce that there will be at least two more books in the series! No official release dates yet, but SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BODIES will probably be released in the fall of 2010, with number eight to be released probably in the spring of 2011. And I'm hopeful there will be a fun novella released between the two full-length books!
Also…stay tuned for more really big news about the BODY MOVERS series that I hope to be able to...
