Had a brilliant morning today with Bowsland Green Primary School. They were SO well-behaved I couldn't believe they weren't beaten every morning by the Head - but their smiling faces showed they weren't. They were a lovely lot.
I told them all about Laurie (son number two) falling out of the tree house when he was little and how a man passing in the street below had caught him. They seemed to find that more interesting than my real (book) stories! One boy asked me if I still let him go in the tree house after that accident and I said, YES! Boys need to fall out of trees - but best not too often.
They asked me lots of interesting questions. They laughed at my jokes. They wanted to buy my books, what more could a writer ask from a school visit?
Thank you Bowsland Green and HAPPY READING!
I hope they produce some great stories in their writing competition and I'm sure they will.
